While reading works from different authors it is easy to make comparisons. I have gathered a few comparisons of my own that I would like to share with you. They are as follows:
1.) Mary Rowlandson's relationship with her captives versus Linda's relationship with Dr. Flint and his family in "Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl"
2.) Johnathon Edwards and Mary Rowlandson's "lack of self worth" religious beliefs versus the grandmother's and Linda's feelings of strong self awareness in "Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl"
3.) The emotional abuse Linda experienced versus Fredrick Douglas's physical abuse and what effect it had on them and the people around them.
